Want to share your story?

If you’d like to share a story with HoustonMom.com or HOPE4Moms.com readers, there are two types of articles you may submit. The first is an editorial submission available to anyone, and the second is an advertorial available to advertisers only. See below for details. If you have questions, please send an e-mail to HoustonMom@scbglobal.net.

Editorial Submission Guidelines
HoustonMom.com is searching for inspiring and innovative articles that educate, entertain, and inform our readers. Topics may be of a local, regional, national, seasonal or themed nature.

Due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate every story that is sent in to us. Each article will be reviewed based on its suitability to our target audience (mainly women in their twenties to fifties living in the Houston metro area), availability of space and quality of writing. Each article will be reviewed by our editorial staff and will be edited for length, grammar, and clarity. Please consider the following for editorial submission.

Editorial Format
Please adhere to the following format when submitting articles:
• Name and phone number on first page, upper left hand corner preferred
• Font: Arial, 10 point
• Length: 600 words maximum, single line spaced
• E-mail as an attached Word document to “Editorial Submissions” at Houston Mom

Note: Please remember that editorial space is offered free of charge and that purchasing advertising space does not guarantee the placement of an article.

Advertorial Submission Guidelines

Advertorials
This option is available to advertisers only. Advertorials are positive stories about your business and the products/services you offer. It is an ad that reads like a magazine feature. At the end of the advertorial, you may submit your contact information, such as addresses, phone numbers, websites, etc. You also may include photos, graphics, etc. for consideration.

To make your advertorial more credible and interesting to readers, you may choose to make the story more general in nature and not about your company specifically. For example, an interior design studio might write about inexpensive ways to redecorate or remodel a home with the latest colors, fabric, etc. Or, a computer company might focus on ways to shop for the best home or small office computer or printer.

Advertorial Format
Please adhere to the following format when submitting advertorials:
• Name, business and phone number on first page, upper left hand corner preferred

• Suggested headline at the top of the story, and contact information below the story (name, business, address, phone, fax, e-mail, web site, etc.)
• Font: Arial, 10 point
• Length: 700 words maximum, single line spaced
• E-mail as an attached Word document to “Advertorial Submissions” at Houston Mom
