HoustonMom.com launches enhanced web site to better serve moms

Houston, TX:  HoustonMom.com, a web site for mothers living in the Houston area founded in 2005, announces the launch of its new and improved web site to better serve Houston-area moms. The enhancements include more than 40-additional web pages containing stories, information and resources provided by local moms and businesses that cater to the needs of women and their families, plus a new site design and logo.

“HoustonMom.com was the first web site of its kind and we felt it was time for an updated look and expanded content that will better educate, inform and inspire moms of all ages living in the Houston area and beyond state lines in some cases as our readership continues to grow,” said Tammy Rosen, HoustonMom.com founder and web site producer.

Rosen said in conjunction with the launch of the enhanced site, special contests and free giveaways are available to mom readers, including the search for a new “Mom Blogger” who will write about her personal motherhood journey each month. Contests and giveaways will be offered monthly to readers, as well as those who sign up for the site’s free membership.

“We feel the content of the site serves the emotional, spiritual, physical and mental needs of moms in our community,” she said. “Whether they stay-at-home or work part or full time, we provide an online community that helps them share their thoughts and learn how to better balance motherhood responsibilities and roles they play daily. This includes income provider, nurturer, educator, chauffer, nurse, cook, house cleaner, day-care provider, and much more which can be challenging at times.”

Rosen said the response from the community has been very positive by family-friendly businesses and moms who wanted to participate on the site. In addition to the 40 new web pages, site design and logo, the tagline, “Moms sharing, caring and offering a new HOPE for tomorrow,” was created.

“Our new tagline truly captures what HoustonMom is all about—reaching out to moms and trying to make a difference in their lives to promote safe and healthy families,” said Rosen.

The following “channels,” or categories of information are now available and bring a broad range of resources, expert sources and personal stories directly to the mom’s fingertips.
